My good friends from Superior Semen(Geff and Nance) will be in Texas and at our house Oct. 30th, Oct 31st, and Nov 1st. If you are interested in having your buck collected or any AI work, and live in the Hamilton(Central Texas) area give me a call at 325-885-2331 or 325-938-7827 K&D Boer Goats(Kirk or Darlene Perry). We already have several ranches set up and still have room for more. Get the insurance you need in the tank. I believe they still charge $3.00 per frozen straw. What kind of analysis is done on the semen they put up? Is there a way to accurately measure live sperm? Motility? What is the count of live sperm per straw?
In cattle there is a "standard", but off hand I can't remember what it is per straw. Is there anything like that with the goats?
